Emergent Reading Books and Math Games for my Kinders!
My students need emergent level books. I have none in my Kindergarten class! The sight word sentences work great and really reinforce their reading skills.

My Students
A typical day in my classroom usually starts off quite calm but by the end of the day my Kindergarten students are very busy bees! They love to read and need constant routine and structure. The attendance chart will definitely improve their structure and routine.
I want all my students to be reading by the end of the year!
They seem to be scared of books and find them too challenging. I think the sight word books would work wonders for them because they are familiar with the words. Since they are familiar with the words, their self-esteem will be boosted, and they will realize that they can read!
My Project
Reading centers! The book collection will help students remember their sight words and also increase my emergent readers collection! My class desperately needs more books for emergent readers. There are very few, which is unfortunate because my class is all emergent readers! The emergent reader books will improve their reading proficiency. The attendance chart teaches the children personal responsibility. It will also help improve routine and structure for the busy bees. The rules chart will also improve their structure. The math game, Fishing for Fun, teaches them how adding can be fun. It reinforces math concepts while they are playing! We are in desperate need of a book stand for organization. We are missing book shelves, so this would be extremely helpful.
These donations will boost students confidence by introducing them to emergent books.
It will also teach them that learning is fun! My classroom needs more hands on activities because most of my learners are tactile.
