Yesterday, as I looked around my classroom, I noticed several students rocking in their chairs. After asking them to stop for what feels like the hundredth time, I paused and asked myself, “How can I make this easier for everyone?” That’s when I got an idea, rocking chairs.
Many students love to rock in their chairs.
It’s a common way for kids to self regulate or stay focused. I want to provide a safe and appropriate way for them to do this without the risk of injury. If I could get two rocking chairs, students would be able to meet that need safely and comfortably. Everyone wins!
