Help me give my students a chance to read hopeful memoirs that poetically show the interconnection between humans, plants, animals and more.

My Project

I am eager to help my students read books that will give them a way to face their future with hope and inspiration. Beyond the tragedies of classic literature and war stories, I want to offer them a way to look at the possibilities of life.

Both of these titles will encourage students to see the connections around them.

Reading and responding to literature that offers insight and accurate accounts of how humans not only coexist alongside plants and animals but actually learn from one another will help them to clarify their place in our world.

Through a series of reading groups, seminars, writing assignments and research on environmental activism, students will find their own project to embrace.
