All of my students are on IEP and face economic hardships. All students receive free lunch, breakfast, and afternoon snack. According to the Oklahoma State Department of Health, our school districts percentage of students who have food insecurities is at 88.6%! Our district is doing great meeting the needs of nutrition for our students.
For students to continue to be successful they need coats for cold days as they wait for the bus or walk to school.
With your generosity, students will receive a brand new winter coat.
To get school safely and comfortably, students need a winter coat to get to school and to play on the playground on colder days. Without coats, students are often absent on colder days. Coats will increase attendance and confidence in their self-esteem. Many of of my students do not have a coat that fit. My students will greatly appreciate a new coat.
