Embedding Technology Into History: iPads and Podcasting in the Classroom
My students need iPads to better utilize technology in our classroom. iPads would allow my students to be better equipped to build creation and collaboration skills that are necessary to ensure future success in college.
My students are predominantly 9th and 10th grade American History students that are aiming to build skills and content that will put them in the best position possible to attend, and thrive in, collegiate environments after high school. Consistent excellence is something that my students demand of themselves and of their academic environments, and my goal is to work as hard as possible to give these amazing kids the education that they deserve.
For my students, building skills necessary for college is imperative, so collecting resources that will allow for my students to become college and future ready is one of my primary objectives as an educator.
My Project
Giving students access to the newest technologies is an investment in their futures. As an educator, my goal is to consistently invest my time and resources into helping my students become the best versions of themselves that they can become.
My project aims to arm my students and my classroom with iPads and podcasting technology to assist them in the process of video and audio creation.
Students will utilize this technology in multiple projects at a creation station that will be set up in my classroom. Students will record videos on iPads and audio through the microphone, with the ultimate goal of having kids build skills necessary for success in future academic projects in high school and college.
