My Students

As a teacher it is my goal every year to meet the needs of my students. I have found that to meet the academic needs of my students, a spark is first needed. Students must be excited about learning. I have found that through exploration learning is achieved.

I teach at a Title 1 school in South Carolina.

Title 1 means that the majority of our students come from low-income families. We have a large population of students and a wide variety of cultures within our school walls. As a teacher I strive to meet all the needs of my students. My school has a family-like atmosphere where teachers truly get to know their students and families in order to best serve their needs.

My Project

In order to spark interest I use interactive notebooks. Students use these notebooks to cut, glue, problem solve, and better understand concepts that we are learning across all curriculum's. By having a document camera in the classroom, I would better be able to model for students during these times. A document camera would be vital when using manipulative such as unifix cubes or counting bears during an exciting math lesson.

By donating to our class project you are giving my students the opportunity to learn in the best possible way.

It gives me a chance to use multiple resources to meet the needs of all learning styles with my classroom. Learning will be more visual and engaging. Each and every dollar matters!
