This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Have you ever felt more empowered as a learner when you grasp a difficult concept? I feel that learners need strong visual aids to enhance their learning. I try to provide this as often as possible. I teach 2nd grade at a low income high need community in Illinois. All of my students have a strong desire to learn but struggle with language barriers.
I am constantly challenged with providing my students engaging visual materials that enhances their learning because of budget constraints. I feel the classroom should be a place where students can make strong connections to the outside world. This helps them become more empowered individuals.
I feel having an Elmo Projector in my classroom will allow my students to make stronger connections in all subjects. It will help me provide immediate concrete visual examples of the materials they are learning.
In helping to fund this project, you will help students gain stronger ties to the materials being taught.
