My students need document camera to present their work. This would be especially helpful when showing students step-by-step arithmetic in the classroom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach three classes of 25 students, and I also have another class after school where I teach algebra. My students are energetic about learning new material. They always bring a unique eagerness to learn such as working in groups to problem solve. Every year, my students come together to create different ways of finding a solution. Since I teach a bilingual class. It is a pleasure to see my students explain their way of thinking in multiple languages.
As I mentioned before, my class is an bilingual class where most of the students speak Spanish as their primary language.
With that said, using visuals creates an ease in learning mathematics in the classroom.
My Project
The document camera would help in allowing my students to present their work in front of their peers. Perhaps this would create further discussion in the classroom over the validity of a student's response. As a math teacher, it's always easier to show my students how to show their work live. It also allows them to see misconceptions that occur with the topic.
Since my students are ENL learners, demonstrating the work live allows them make stronger connections with the material.
Of course in mathematics, anytime that you can demonstrate your understanding to the class, it allows all levels of students multiple entry ways into the lesson.
