My Students

My students are seventh and eighth graders from the city of Buffalo, located in Western New York. They are working to build their reading and writing skills before heading off to high school. Some of my groups include students with IEPs. They have worked very hard this year and have improved in many areas. This junior high group is the hardest working group I have had in many, many years. I am motivated to enhance their learning experience in any way possible!

My Project

Funding for an Elmo will allow me to replace our "old school" projector. The clarity and flexibility gained will help students see exactly want I am writing. Notes can be projected, good writing can be modeled, and exemplars can be shared.

An Elmo will be especially helpful for the students in my integrated co-teach group.

These students, and many others, are typically visual learners who need to hear and see material being presented. It will allow me to provide a wider variety of differentiation and accommodations. Updating our technology brings students closer to achieving 21st century goals and prepares them for high school.
