This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love books at their level about people to whom they can relate. They need a selection of high interest novels to choose from and will be using them to write and present literary analysis. They will not only learn how to improve their reading skills and fluency but how to make good choices. Many of our students arrive with little or no English skills so they need books that engage them in order to learn. They will truly enjoy the books on this list and sharing them with their classmates.
