The multilingual learners at my school come from over 40 different nations and speak many different languages. Many of our students are newcomers to the country and are just beginning to learn English. Despite not knowing English, these students are passionate about learning and strive to succeed.
Our students work extremely hard in their classroom to learn the content that their teachers are teaching while simultaneously learning a new language, they need all the support they can get and this tool will give them that.
My Project
Raz Plus with the ELL edition is an online subscription that allows students access to leveled books, and ensures that English language learners have the opportunity to grow in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
The ELL Collection will provide content, language, and vocabulary support needed by my students to be successful while learning a new language.
It provides me as the teacher ready made resources and lesson plans as well as students with home access to continue practicing and learning outside of the school day. The multitude of books ensures that my students have access to interesting books that also align with content and WIDA standards that are meaningful and accessible.
