This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade, many of whom are working on producing accurate speech sounds. Some of the tricky sounds for students include CH, SH, J, S, Z, and R. The materials that I am requesting are all resources that I can use to encourage accurate elicitation and have students meet their goals faster.

I plan to use the teachers pay teachers gift card to purchase Elicitation Sound Handbooks from Adventures in Speech Pathology - a wonderful resource for various cues to help students figure out how to say their sounds correctly!

These packets are great and have been super helpful to me in the past, so I would like to continue to build up my resources. This gift card would go a long way toward their purchase!

Most of my students love coming to speech therapy because I like to make it fun and functional. The materials in this project would help me continue to do that and encourage students to have a growth mindset - it's okay if they can't say their sounds yet. They will figure it out soon!
