My Project
As a 6:1:1 Special Education teacher in a District 75 specialized high school, it is essential to develop a highly organized classroom built upon the principles of TEAACH. It is my hope that this project will provide greater structure to my workstations and enhance learning opportunities for my students to practice a variety of skills related to functional academics, vocational self-help skills and motor movements (both fine and gross motor).
These materials will be utilized to better create, organize, and ABA TEAACH stations in my classroom.
Bins are necessary to properly organize tasks and materials, as well as create a structure for students to complete work independently and within small groups. Educational materials, such as the puzzles, sorting activities and ADL stimulation play kits will be utilized to build independence in recognizing, labeling, retrieving items. In addition, these educational materials will be utilized to teach students ELA, Math and vocational skills, which will in turn create opportunities for students to generalize mastered skills into their home lives.
