My Project
Flexible seating will allow my 6th graders to make choices that are best for how they learn. Students are more engaged when they are in an environment that they feel comfortable in. This last year I heard and saw how uncomfortable the school seats are. Students had a hard time focusing. Last year I havd 4 yoga balls that helped many students. They could easily move around when needed which lead to better focus and learning. Currently my students have a choice of the use of yoga balls or wiggle seats. With these options they are more engaged and more productive during the school day.

The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. I have found that many students prefer to stand and some like to just sit on the floor with a comfortable cushion. I have chosen standing desks, yoga balls, and floor cushions. These options will allow my students a variety of seating that can be moved around the room as needed.
We have new school boundaries so I will be welcoming new students to my classroom that are new not only to my classroom but to the school. Please help me give my 6th graders the best fresh start as we prepare to start a new school year and make it the best yet!
