Help me give my students wellness tools for the future to have health relationships. Bean bag chairs can feel like a hug and help gain control back. The sensory jar items will support emotional regulation.
Wellness skills are needed at every level! Often, we choose wellness when life is hard, and we feel on fire already. Let’s move to prevention and start by teaching wellness and positive coping early. Our students, like all humans, need to learn positive emotional management and adaptive coping (what we do to overcome hard situations). Our resources include dolls for play therapy, sensory toys, calming stuffed animals that heat up, stickers as wellness rewards, sensory jar supplies, art supply organization, soft animals to re-regulate, and bean bags to give you a hug when you feel you need one.
We serve two elementary schools and teach emotional wellness and support mental health needs.
By donating to our project, you will help improve the lives of small humans by helping us create a Wellness Room to increase their ability to learn how to bounce back when life gives them lemons.
With the increase of skills like emotional identification, emotional regulation, emotional management, our students will grow to balance the emotional demands of their future. Research shows this will help students improve their academics and have healthy relationships in the future.
