My Students

My students are creative and innovative twenty first century learners who are looking for opportunities to connect with the world around them. Fifty Three percent of these students are economically disadvantaged. Despite their best efforts some of these kids are disengaged and absenteeism is high. Some of them are struggling and need support and motivation. I want to provide them the opportunities that middle class classrooms receive

These students embrace challenges and are eager to learn new skills and technologies.

Our school is a place where students thrive when new challenges come their way. I can't wait to give them this new challenge to work with technology and share their voice.

My Project

It has been a dream to set up a school television station. I know that it can be an effective and fun way to bring education to life for students. The skills and discipline required to plan, script, present and technically produce a televised broadcast can help students in other areas of learning, such as comprehension, literacy, computer graphics and math. The Padcaster Ultimate Studio is the beginning of our adventure piece for that adventure. The Padcaster Ultimate Studio allows the iPad to connect to a tripod for steady filming; works with the iPad camera lens to get a wide or tele adaptive lens; and has a microphone for improved audio recording. Plus Green screen and carrying case for elementary students.
