Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My 5th grade students are entering their final quarter of elementary school! This quarter is going to be quite busy for them! Many students are competing on spring sports teams, wrapping up academic team competitions, and participating in arts and music activities. In the classroom we are also ensuring that we have covered 5th grade material so that students can be successful in middle school, on end of year state assessments, and end of year school assessments.

While we are working our brains, we also want to make sure we are having fun!

My plan is to host many "games" and "competitions" as a way to continue learning but also spend time with classmates in a more joyful way. I also will run a "5th grade camp" to review skills leading up to end of year assessments. During these activities I'd like to be able to use ideas from Teachers Pay Teachers as well as have materials and prizes! This is why I am requesting the gift card, paper, and many treats!

We hope to make the last quarter memorable, learning-filled, and enjoyable!
