This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their energy, creativity, and willingness to try new things. Every day, they show up ready to move, explore, and grow—not just in the classroom, but through every part of their school experience. That’s why I’m passionate about creating a learning environment that supports their physical development as much as their academic growth.

With your help, we’re hoping to bring in new resources like hula hoops, nets, and balls to make our physical education time more engaging and impactful.

These tools may seem simple, but they open the door to so much more: teamwork, coordination, problem-solving, and confidence.

Hula hoops help build core strength and balance while allowing students to express themselves through fun movement and games. Balls are essential for developing motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and teamwork—whether we're learning to dribble, pass, or work together in group challenges. The nets will allow us to introduce new sports and activities, like volleyball or modified tennis, giving students a chance to discover interests they might carry with them for a lifetime.

These resources will turn our PE time into a space where every student feels successful, included, and excited to participate. Thank you for supporting their growth—in body, mind, and spirit.
