Elementary Outdoor Soccer Program

My Project

Hello. Your donations will make a huge difference to the students at RES!

I am working towards building an equitable, competitive outdoor soccer experience for these students, grades Kindergarten to 5th.

We have not had a soccer team before! We currently have only one soccer goal outside that is not in great shape and is used during recess. Adding new soccer goals will help give these students a wonderful community experience within their school and neighborhood. This sport will also involve the parents of Roosevelt to come support and cheer on their Rams! As the PE teacher, I am aiming towards teaching these students to play soccer outside in a team setting. We will discuss positive role models who are on the US Men's and Women's National Teams as the World Cup approaches to spark student interest and individual goal-setting (Ex. I would like to kick like our local soccer star, Rose Lavelle"). I am also working towards a potential after school program for these students; thus, having equipment will help make this feasible.
