Help me give my students realistic play money items to strengthen their economic skills as they learn the value of money and its many uses.

My Project
I really do enjoy teaching, and teaching this year's group of students (actually, I love teaching every year, no matter the group). This school year, my incredible group of third-grade students wants to learn more about money; totally awesome.
So, because they were eager to learn more about money and its uses, I decided to teach the use of money through Social Studies, "Elementary Economics".
We use an outsourced platform for students to earn points and redeem them for items. Well, my project, "Elementary Economics," converts the points into play money, a realistic type. Students will go to the classroom store to make real purchases with the 'money' that is being requested.
This project will help my students learn about supply and demand, raising and lowering prices, and how to write and implement a very simple budget.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
