This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our students are from the Park Heights neighborhood in Baltimore City, Maryland. Despite the obstacles they face, they show up ready and excited for school every day.
Our students are the smartest middle school scholars in the city and are learning to develop a strong growth mindset that will send them soaring into whatever life path they choose.
Your generosity and care for them will further allow our school to push them to reach their goals in and out of the classroom because of the incredible abundance of extra resources it provides. Thank you!
My Project
The resources I am requesting are two-fold: Help students now and prepare for 2020-21. During these difficult times, many of our students are not able to have equitable access to electronics to support their learning from home. I am also using this time to plan and prepare for next school year.
This project will help to level the playing field so we can provide electronic support for our students who do not have access to technology in their homes.
Khan Academy is an important part of our classroom and this donation could help a few more of our students get the access they need to log on and work from home. The technology items which includes numerous computers are listed in the project to support a number of our students who need technology immediately. I also am planning ahead for school year 2020-21 and am requesting basic classroom supplies that we need and use yearly. Thank you for your support.
