My Students

Our students are wonderful as each class of students have been together, for the most part, since kindergarten! These students know each other well, and the faculty/staff of the high school also are familiar with them and their families. This makes for a high school student body with community bonds.

The students live in the shadow of the Appalachian mountains in a rural setting.

The students, as a whole, possess a strong work ethic, and the school had a 99.1% graduation rate in 2016. The faculty and staff work hard to challenge each student to be the best that they can be.

My Project

Electronic Arduino kits provide engaging training opportunities for students to learn with real equipment the electrical processes of a computer. Without these kits, the students only have a textbook and Youtube videos for their lessons.

Students love to have hands-on projects while learning technical subject matter.

I work diligently at providing as much active engagement as I can for all my students. Students learn by doing and these kits are amazingly simple to use in the classroom. Students quickly learn the steps to connect to the processor and perform numerous tasks to reinforce the course standards of computer science courses.
