My Project

Daily reading for enjoyment is often overlooked at school. I try to foster a love of reading in my class. My students have learning disabilities that make it hard for them to read independently at home.

Many of my children do not have Internet access at home or a device where they can watch and listen to read alouds.

I bought a few electronic readers this year and the students loved them. They took turns taking them home each night.

I would love for every child in my class to be able to take an electronic reader and books home whenever they choose. These readers are a great way to increase vocabulary and sight words while developing a love of books. Thank you so much for your consideration of my project. Happy Reading!
