Electrify These Physical Science Students

My students need hands-on exploration projects for their physical science unit.

My Students

My students represent many countries and a few live in poverty. We are a generally considered a low socio-economic school in our district. We serve our students breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. Our school volunteers provide on-going food bank services, dental services, and clothing for those whose families are unable to afford these basic items.

All of my students want to learn, seeking out information that will allow them choices in future years.

They are eager to use technology, microscopes, maps, and manipulatives. I see confidence increase daily as these students put a great deal of effort into their studies. Most of them know that they can achieve success with a lot of hard work and persistence.

My Project

These items will enable my 5th graders to make their physical science texts come alive. From creating designs, to implementing their ideas on the experiment board, these electrical experiments will continue to generate interest for years to come.

The kits allow for each of my students to work at their level to design and create circuits that fit their needs.

Each student may then share their discoveries with their classmates. Since these circuits, wires and diodes are reuseable, students can create multiple experiments depending upon their skill level.

This will be a welcome addition to our STEM studies and will enhance each students creative learning.
