Electricity Is Amazing!

My students need 4 kits and materials, like batteries and posters, to help them understand how electricity works. They will gain amazing knowledge from doing hands on activities with their peers.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you imagine trying to understand how electricity works without actually being able to experience it?! Yes, we all experience the use of electricity daily, but we do not get to experience how it works! My students will be able to create electric experiments that will blow their minds!

My students are amazing 5th graders with a zest for life and learning.

They are students at a Title 1 school in Utah, and would love to have as many hands on experiences as possible. They come from various ethnic backgrounds, and are very inquisitive. My students deserve to have as many chances as possible to expand their curiosity!

My Project

We are hoping to get kits and various resources to be able to build electric circuits; create various forms of electricity using magnets and batteries; and understand how electricity works from a first hand point of view. Having the students in small groups working together to create electricity will not only enable them to understand electricity better, but to also communicate with each other. The opportunities to create various electrical gadgets will be great!

Please help me give my students the opportunity to explore electricity first hand with a scientific understanding of how it works.

Your generous donation will help not only my class this year, but future students that will benefit from the supplies we are hoping to get.
