My students need a tough and durable electric pencil sharpener that won't break and plenty of #2 pencils to go along with it!

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a teacher of 27 bright, talented and lovable 2nd grade students. My school is a barrier-free school. This means that my school opens its doors to every child in the neighborhood, regardless of their physical or mental handicap. Children in wheelchairs work and thrive alongside their peers.
I work in a very impoverished and dangerous area.
My students have seen more in their short lives than most adults will see in their lifetime. My students have little to nothing to call their own. School is their safe haven. Every year, the biggest problem that I have in my classroom is a simple one - pencils!! Most students do not come to school with pencils. I do the best that I can to supply my students with pencils that I buy, but they always seem to break of quickly disappear. Many of my students bring the pencils that I give them in the classroom home at night to do their homework with. They don't have any pencils at home. Most days, it takes an incredible amount of time to make sure that every student has a pencil, and that it is sharpened. This is time that my students can be learning. Every electric sharpener that I've bought in the past has broken shortly after I purchased it. That is another area of great frustration!
My Project
I would love to give my student the freedom to not have to worry about finding pencils and keeping them sharp. If I could supply my whole class with #2 pencils and an open-access sharpener all year round, I can't even begin to imagine the amount of time and frustration that would be saved.
It seems like a simple request, but to my students and myself, it would truly make a world of difference.
The amount of time that we'd save with pencils and a new sharpener would allow me to educate my children to my utmost capability.
