My Students

How can you write without a sharpened pencil? Pencils are great rewards for students. Most pencils are not sharpened. My students need a pencil sharpener.

My 24 first graders are so sweet and eager to learn.

They are just learning to read and write. They are attending public school and rely on the school to provide them with what they need to get their education. My little boys and girls love pencils and need sharpened ones.

My Project

Little kids need to have a sharpened pencils and need them fast. I don't like for my students to stand by the trash can and sharpen their pencils manually. I don't want them sharpening their pencils and leaving the shavings in their desks. The students need to have accessibility to sharpened pencils at all times. A broken pencil can be a distraction... I want my students focused on what I teach and not on sharpening their pencils.

I tend to sharpen pencils daily for my students.

I even have student volunteers who come in early or stay after school to sharpen pencils. Manuel sharpeners take way too long. We need a good pencil sharpener and we have different thickness of pencils that need to be sharpened. Please help us get this basic, yet extremely important tool for our classroom... an electric pencil sharpener.
