This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a Pre-K/Kindergarten teacher I want my students to come to class everyday happy and enthusiastic about learning. One of my goals is to create a classroom that is welcoming and full of educational resources. My kids love coming to class everyday and are eager to learn how to read! They absolutely love their classroom but I am still working on making it amazing! As a general ed. teacher and having English language learners, it is vital for them to learn in an environment that is fostering their growing minds. I am absolutely grateful for this opportunity and even though it's hard to ask for help I am. I love teaching and my priority is this: to make every student a leader, a scholar, and the most of all teach them to love to learn. With gratitude, Ms. Rodriguez.

My Project

These materials will give students the opportunity to develop their creativity during the common core subjects. Since we do not have a specific block for art, with these tools I can integrate art within the ELA and Math curriculum. I have devised centers that align to the common core and ELD standards in preparation for if/when I do receive these items.

The magazine folders are to organize students' work and center work in a more efficient way.

We do not have many organizational tools in our classroom, and I believe these would help transitions throughout the day.

The pocket charts will also help organize how we rotate our centers each and every day.
