My Project

The EL Academy in the Library is a space for native English speakers to interact with students learning English. Students through various forms of feedback have asked for maker activities that they can do during the EL Academy time every morning.

Maker activities are designed to have English Language Learners practice speaking and listening with native English speakers.

Maker activities that focus on simple multi-step projects will help build language capacity, promote friendships and are easily shared with the school community and family.

The Maker activities include embroidery, led lights, circuits, art, and simple electronics.
