My students are young brilliant minds waiting for the opportunity to explore the world.
They are socioeconomic diverse and it is my goal to give my students more control over their own daily lives at school and in my classroom. They love learning through exploration and hands-on activities.
Today's students are growing up in a world where technology is an essential part of their daily lives and I will provide my students with every opportunity possible for them to explore and question the world in a safe and healthy environment.
My Project
My students’ academic level range greatly. They are very excited to learn through hands-on activities and the use of technology. They are full of questions that are often not found in our textbooks or in my classroom library books.
Students being able to have access to answer these questions through hands-on activities and technology on their own is the best way for students to learn.
My students will learn through exploration with the science activity tubs and will research further question using the tablets.
I will use the science activity tubs and tablets during science centers for students to engage in hands-on activities and research science questions. Each science activity tub relates to one unit in our district curriculum. The activity tub will be a separate center than the tablets. The science activity tub will allow the students to become hands-on scientists. The tablets will allow the students to explore more in-depth questions than our district based science curriculum allows. Having the activity tubs and tablets in the classroom would be a great resource for my students.
