Eighth Graders are Always Hungry!

My Project

When I tell people that I teach eighth grade, the standard reply is usually one of sympathy and awe. But to me, eighth graders are just larger versions of their elementary counterparts. They are trying to figure out who they are and where they fit into the world.

One thing I've learned is that eighth graders always seem to be hungry!

This could be because of a home life where they don't get breakfast, or don't have someone to supply them with snacks, or just because they are at a stage in life where they are growing daily, I want my classroom to be a place where they know they have something to fill their tummies. To help them focus in class, I would like to gift my classroom with a cereal dispenser so that students can have a snack in class that is not too expensive to maintain!
