Eggcellent Opportunity to Popsicle Into Learning

Help me give my students food themed manipulatives that will support their literacy and math development while in the kitchen center.

My Project

Our dramatic play kitchen is the most popular centers in our classroom. We can have water in the water table, play dough in the art center, or iPads out in technology, they always come back to the kitchen. There is a certain level of joy they get out of the kitchen which they cannot get in any other center. It allows them interact with each other in roles such as mom or dad, sister or brother, while acting out things like cooking or setting the table.

These eggs and popsicles will engage students in kitchen activities, while also supporting their letter, number, color, and shape recognition.

My students love popsicles and these letter and number popsicles will support letter recognition, number recognition, and quantification. The eggs we currently have are a hit in the kitchen. These new matching eggs will support fine motor development when students take them apart, while also supporting letter, number, quantification, colors, and shape recognition.
