My students are special because they are from a variety of cultural backgrounds, and about half of them are English Language Learners. Many of them have families that struggle to make ends meet, but you would never know it from their work ethic and love of school.
They are very kind and caring citizens, helping each other when someone is struggling, and they work together to find solutions to challenges.
They are just beginning to learn to use technology, and many of them don't have access to computers and such in their homes.
My Project
Having 30+ students and Chromebooks in the classroom makes for a mess of cords to manage, keep organized, and sort through to recharge! This cart is the perfect solution for the students to be able to keep track of their own computer and manage putting it away and attaching the charging cord independently.
Chromebooks have become a very integral part of the students' work day, and it would make everyone's day smoother if the students could manage retrieving and returning their own Chromebooks to an organized cart.
Additionally, the cart charges them and can be locked which is very important.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
