My third grade class comes from high poverty and a low socio-economic area, who have a passion, eagerness, and a determination to succeed in learning. In addition, my students come from first-generation immigrant families who come to the United States to provide their children with a better education in order for them to be successful in their future. I want to be able to provide my students with additional resources to assist them in furthering their academics and skills in all content areas.
Having a document camera in my classroom will enhance my students learning daily. My students enjoy to learn and use technology but most importantly they enjoy sharing their work with their peers. A document reader will allow me to read a text and show the students the text at the same time. In addition, when completing a worksheet, students will be able to see exactly how they are to complete the worksheet by watching me as I model for them on a document camera. Once work is completed, students can place their work under the document camera to show the entire class what a completed assignment looks like. Lastly, the document camera will be used to share their writing, illustrations, and other work to others.
A document camera will improve the education of all of my students by giving them the ability to see as well as hear what they need to do each day.
It will allow students to display their work, explain their work to their peers. A document camera will make a huge difference in our classroom every day and will assist students in their speaking such as explaining their work to their peers.
