Effective Chromebook Users Need Headphones to Use Online Programs
Help me give my students headphones and a way to organize them so that they are able to effectively use our online reading, spelling, and math programs.
This year, I have a large class of 32 students! Their abilities range dramatically, with students who have IEPs, 504s, GATE, and are English language learners. We are off to a great start, and my students have really embraced having a growth mindset and tackling the challenges of 4th grade.
This year, we are continuing to focus on the Common Core standards and using strategies and methods to show our thinking.
This class is open to the idea that all students learn differently and may be able to solve a problem differently from how they would and enjoy hearing other strategies to use. They are excited to learn and support one another!
My Project
My students love using their Chromebooks for reading, spelling, and math practice. Unfortunately, many students are sent in with earbuds that consistently fall out or get misplaced.
This set of headphones will help my students be able to focus and effectively use the reading, spelling, and math programs that involve watching videos to help better their understanding.
We are also in need of a way to organize these headphones. The few that we have in the class get placed in a bin, which results in tangled wires and broken ear cushions. By having a shoe organizer, I will be able to hang it up on the wall and each headphone will have its own home. This will increase the headphone's life expectancy.
Finally, we are in need of raffle tickets to aid in our classroom economy. My students earn money and can purchase raffle tickets in order to win prizes for their hard work and effort.
