My Students
My students are in a low-income area, so parents work a lot in order to support them. It is difficult for parents to take time off to be in the school, but they offer up as much support as they can. I have seen so much parental involvement since I began using Class Dojo. It really allows the parents to come "into" the classroom, even if they cannot physically be here.
My students have so much potential, and they just need someone to believe in them!
I chose to teach here with the hopes of inspiring my students as much as they inspire me.
My students are learning their own power and potential and love to share their successes with their parents. They are learning to take ownership of their learning and seeing the world open up to them. I am so proud of them.
My Project
My students are lucky to have Chromebooks that they can use on a daily basis. They are able to do all sorts of fun educational activities like coding, learning computer etiquette, as well as taking all of their end of year tests.
Some of these activities are far easier to do with a computer mouse instead of using the track pad.
I have had too many students skip problems and get low scores, simply because they struggled to scroll using the track pad on their laptop. I want to give my students the option of using a mouse and ensuring they can do their best work.
