Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The goal of this project is to allow my Early Childhood Special Education students to learn through play and discovery. The sound alphabets will allow my students to learn what begins with each letter as they learn to identify the letters through play. For example I’ll say, “Show me the letter D. Duck begins with the letter D. Now can you show me the letter D?” In the same manner, students will begin to identify numbers, shapes, and basic colors. I love seeing my students light up when they master skills. It’s priceless to see them claps for one another while saying good job. The goal of this project is to reinforce what they are learning and to improve their socialization skills through play.
