This little tool is the key to teachers designing instructional-driven bulletin boards, academic planners, and other creative educational tools to create a robust climate and culture for learning to increase student engagement.
A welcoming classroom can do wonders for students and their academic progress. Welcoming classrooms can lead to an increase in student engagement and a decrease in disruptive behavior, leading to a better academic performance. We also are trying to infuse more social-emotional learning so improving classroom aesthetics could also have some psychological and emotional benefits of a positive learning environment. This addition to the teacher resource room will not only give our classrooms a little spark but it will also inspire teachers to be creative in how they differentiate their teaching toolkits.
