My Students

I work with some very awesome, smart, and inquisitive PreK-5 graders. Our wonderful school is hidden gem in CMS, and could use the extra help obtaining the necessary items to make all of our students successful. We could use the extra expanding the availability of STEM items for our school's technology classroom.

HRA is a Title I school where more than half of the students enrolled are in the free or reduced lunch program.

The children here at HRA come from predominantly low income households. In an effort to provide quality and equitable experiences across our district, we are expanding our technology experiences for our student. In doing this, we will be providing children from our Title I school with the same educational technology experiences that students from higher funded schools experience. As the students slowly and safely begin to return to school, we could use most of these items to provide an individualized learning experience.

The staff at HRA are striving to ensure that every student is offered the same quality education and experiences that's received at all of our CMS schools.

My Project

We are looking to expand our students interest in the world of coding. In order to do this, we need to expand the technology that accessible to the students of Highland Renaissance Academy. The Rover robots will be a great addition to our other donations of SPHERO brand STEM robots. These robots challenge the students ability at coding as well as ignites their curiosity in the world of STEM. Highland Renaissances goal is use these bots to further extend the lessons in code that the student will get to engage in while using these rovers.
