Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is considered to be in a low-income school district that is now in receivership. For many, it is not a preferred school district to work in, but I feel privileged to work with these amazing students.
My students love to come to school.
For many, it is a place where they receive stability, love and can feel safe. My students amaze me every day, I love teaching special education preschool. I teach an A.M. and P.M. class of mixed special education and peer model students. Therefore, I service 30 students a day. Any help with this project would be much appreciated.
My Project
The project that I have built will enhance my students learning in a fun and hands on way. It will serve 30 students. All of the materials listed in this project are materials I myself would purchase with my own money, buying materials like these for 30 students can get costly. My students and I would be extremely appreciative of any and all help you are willing to give.
These supplies will expand my student’s ability to further their learning and creativity through writing, art and learning more about thematic units that I teach.
I am asking for material like googly eyes, Velcro, tape, and glue sticks. I am also asking for a white board for my ABC center and play sand for my discovery table. These supplies will help my students work on several different area's such as pre-academics, social emotional and occupational therapy goals. Along with fun art activities for preschool students to create and proudly display and bring home to show their parents. My students love making crafts and beam with pride when they are hung in the hallway and when they get to bring them home to their families
