This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students' learning styles are so unique with this generation. The traditional note taking or learning from a text book is being replaced with technology. Students need new outlets to help them learn while incorporating high yield effective teaching strategies. These board games will not only foster learning but will teach cooperative game play that students might have missed out on during COVID.
These games in the resource room will be available for my students to use.
Students will be excited to come to class to learn and play co-operative games with each other. In reading class, students will use games such as Comprehension Game Trio: Main Idea, Summary & Inference, I Have...Who Has?, Main Idea Practice Cards, and Comprehension Practice Cards. In math class, students will practice and master math facts using games such as Money Bags Coin Value Game, Proof! Math Game - The Fast Paced Game of Mental Math Magic, Adsumudi Math Game, Elevate Prep Target Math Game, Fast-Paced Mental Math Game for Practicing Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, & Division, and Think2Master Wacky Cards 1st - 3rd Grade.
Students who need social emotional and behavioral support will enjoy playing games like Emotional Rollercoaster and Mindfulness Therapy Games.
