This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are third graders from the Bronx, N.Y. My students are bright-eyed and eager to learn. We are a heterogeneous classroom with almost half being special needs children.
I try to make each day a fun learning experience for each child.
Each child learns differently and at different paces. To be able to make the classroom an inviting, comfortable place to learn is my goal. I want my students to want to come to school and want to learn. It is important to leave some type of impression on your students to set the stepping stones for a positive, productive future.
My Project
I am requesting a set of DVDs that will teach my students about some famous artists. Getting to Know the World's Greatest Artists DVD collection combines animation with examples of great art.
My students will learn about art.
It will feature many different artists. It will take students on a journey that shares the story of the artist's life, focuses on important aspects of his creative career, and ends with a slide show of his more significant works.
