My students need Alphabet games, Link to Learn games, Pick a Trick Matching, and Catch to Learn. I am also requesting Harold and the Purple Crayon and Fairy Tale books.
My kindergarten students come in each day ready to learn and grow.
I teach kindergarten at a very low income school in Oklahoma.
Many of the students come from single parent homes and many are from English as a Second Language families. Our school has leveled the grades and I have the lowest kindergarten students. They need a lot of visuals, hands-on activities, kinesthetic learning, and listening activities.
My Project
The educational computer games will be used for both literacy and math skills. The games will help my students reinforce their letter recognition skills and number recognition. The games can be used during whole group learning, small groups, individually, or with my after school tutoring students. The games are interactive and age appropriate for my students.
The audio books will be used in the listening centers. I have some books, but we have used them several times and it is time for some new ones to last the rest of the year. Audio books help children with word recognition, fluency, listening, parts of a story, and helps my ELL students with their English.
The educational computer games and audio books will make a big difference in my classroom.
My class loves using the computer games during whole group, small group, or on their own. Our class has a few already, but they are still too difficult for my students.
The audio books will be a wonderful addition to our listening centers. The listening center is one of my classes favorite centers. They love listening to stories which will help them to become better readers.
