Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are a diverse group of learners who speak several different languages. Although many come from different countries, we have come together to form an amazing community. My students are a very fun, loving, and very active group of kids. Our school is a high poverty school with 85% of our students who receive free or reduced lunch. Although my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom, they still come to school with smiles on their faces and ready to learn.
My Project
Everyday our classroom is engaged in new learning concepts. An easel will make it easier for my students to engage in our everyday learning. It will give us a place to make classroom materials easily accessible to all students as well as a place to display our anchor charts while we are learning. The easel will also give my students a place to come together to participate in shared reading and writing as well as learning new math concepts. The more participation with my students, the more learning we will achieve! My students will be truly excited to join in our learning!
