Help me give my students a class set of markers, a clock, and for me an Educating All Students professional certification so I can create greater equity in the school library media center.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a Title I school in a city school district. In our public city school, many scholars are diverse and at-risk readers. Currently, the entire school population receives free breakfast and lunch. Many scholars are also from low-income households. However, they are warm, loving and continually searching for ways to grow and become better each day. I am honored to teach such wonderful children.
I enjoy providing scholars a multitude of experiences to connect the curriculum and enhance their learning while allowing them to be creative and stimulate their curiosity.
My scholars are eager to learn, excel and connect the curriculum in the school library media center. As the school librarian, I am able to reach every student in the school. I have been teaching for 17 years, and I take a great deal of pride in my work. I strive to make learning fun and engaging as I have been focusing on transdisciplinary learning to help scholars have authentic and powerful learning experiences.
My Project
Scholars at the middle school and high school level are often anxious and stressed out. They deal with many social pressures and clichés. Every day, I see them come into the library for a break. The library needs to be a place for equitable learning experiences.
I am requesting funds to take a New York State Educating All Students exam.
This examination will provide me with invaluable information that I will be able to take back with me to improve my practice and grow professionally so that I can make a bigger impact. My students will benefit because I will learn how to create more equitable experiences for them so all students have equal opportunities to learn and lead. I will be able to create activities that best support the learning of all grade levels and all students, as well as other teachers, using the information I learn.
Requested supplies include markers and a clock that dims.
