This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help me provide my students with headphones and other school supplies that will allow them access to online learning and tools for phonemic awareness and mathematical skills growth. These materials will help create an equitable learning environment for these deserving curious Kinders.

We are a Title 1, universal free lunch school and many of our students are unable to afford items off the school supply list such as books, and headphones.

The school's minority student enrollment is 92%. The school enrolls 85% economically disadvantaged students. Although I have purchased many of their basic school supplies, this request will enable the students to have meaningful learning experiences and complete their educational activities on a daily basis. It is vital that students come to class prepared to learn and with your donation, they will be equipped with the necessary materials.

These headphones and other school supplies will give each student the ability to participate in their online learning without being disturbed by others around them. In addition to helping students practice and reinforce their phonemic awareness skills. I believe that all students should be afforded a great educational experience regardless of their economic status, however, there are a lot of disadvantaged children in the metro Denver area. Through the support of the community, we can provide the resources that allow these children to go to school and learn without concern for what supplies they will have access to in a learning environment that is visually friendly and equipped with the necessary tools for learning. Your donations will go to support the education of these young minds of today, who will become the future leaders of tomorrow, and shape the world for the better.
