Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are passionate and creative young scholars who thrive on experience and absorb knowledge.

This project will give me the unique opportunity to educate and empower them to be resilient, civic-minded leaders, whose impact will reach the world.

The students I serve are emerging readers. So the materials include CVC learning games, sight word activities, books, and resources to help them focus on one word at a time while reading.

Additionally, this project contains age-appropriate resources that will allow me to teach them about climate change and the environment. Additionally, it contains resources to help them grow as readers to access some of the texts more independently over time. The resources it includes are literacy tools such as CVC word games to help them access grade-level content, high-interest books, science kits, and learning tools. It is my hope that through hands-on, meaningful experiences they will feel inspired to create change and inspired and confident to access texts that teach them about how to be change agents.
