This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are the best. They are kind, smart and helpful. Many of these students struggle with issues and then they can't self-regulate. We are in need of sensory bottles, Picasso Tiles, and many tools to self-regulate. We also need snacks. These SEL tools will help them feel better and help them learn to calm down.
Sensory tools and snacks can change the entire outlook in a child.
They are getting their needs met and enjoying tools that make them happy and distracted from their difficulties.
My main goal for these students is to know they are safe and loved and I am teaching them lifetime coping skills.
