Help me give my students visualize complex science standards through real-life simulations, develop critical thinking and collaboration skills, and understand the real-world impact of climate and environmental change on organisms.

My Project
Our project, Ecosystem Explorers, is designed to give students a deeper, hands-on understanding of how organisms interact within an ecosystem, how energy moves through trophic levels, and how environmental factors impact populations. We will use this project to meet key state science standards that emphasize relationships among producers, consumers, decomposers, and limiting factors in ecosystems.
The materials will help students construct food webs, model energy pyramids, analyze real-world ecosystems, and simulate ecological interactions such as predation, parasitism, and mutualism.
These activities will lead to rich classroom discussions and inquiry-based learning, helping students apply what they learn to real ecosystems around them. The project culminates in students designing and presenting their own “Ecosystem brochure,” integrating all concepts.
