Economic Education - Investing in our Children's Future

I need help covering the cost of registration so I can attend the 56th Annual Financial Literacy and Economic Education Conference!

My Students

I teach an extremely talented and unique group of fifth graders in Kentucky. They are both advanced program students and regular program students. Several of my students are from different countries.

We are considered a school with moderate poverty, but we do not qualify for additional state and government funds.

Each of our at-risk students needs the opportunity to have the same resources as students at other schools. My students are eager and excited. They are creative and want to learn more. They are eager and seek knowledge on a daily basis.

My Project

This project covers the cost of registration so I can attend the Council for Economic Education's 56th Annual Financial Literacy & Economic Education Conference. Incorporating personal finance and economic education in our nation's schools is at a pivotal point!

This conference will help me provide my students with the knowledge and vocabulary for money.

Because of this conference, I will be able to give my students the essential tools to create financial stability and opportunity for themselves, their families and their communities.

By attending this conference, I will have access to over 100 workshops where I can learn to integrate personal finance and economics into my class. I will have networking opportunities to meet with other teachers and learn how they’re tackling the challenges of economic and financial literacy education for elementary students. I'll be able to attend conference sessions and workshops to provide me with strategies that will help me incorporate economics and financial literacy into me class. I'll gain valuable perspectives from guest speakers.

The benefits of attending this conference are immeasurable. I look forward to bringing the information back and leading a professional development for the teachers in my building!
